- ¾ oz. rye whiskey
- ¾ oz. dark rum, such as Gosling’s
- ¾ oz. orgeat*
- ¾ oz. fresh lime juice
- 2 dashes Dr. Adam’s Aphrodite bitters
- Lime wheel for garnish

*Orgeat is a tropical syrup made with almond milk, lime zest, and orange fl ower water. If you want to make it from scratch, check out the recipe below.
Orgeat may be the one syrup that is easier and more cost effective to buy than to make from scratch—if you try to make the almond milk from raw ingredients. Heat 1 cup unsweetened almond milk with 1 cup sugar in a saucepan, and stir to incorporate the sugar. Remove from heat and let cool. Whisk in 2 dashes almond extract and 1 dash orange flower water. For a simple variation, swap cashew milk for the almond milk to make a Cashew Milk Orgeat. Yields approximately 1½ cups.
