Burtt's Apple Orchard - Cabot
Burtt’s Apple Orchard in Cabot has an authentic, old-school atmosphere, a diverse working family farm with an extensive orchard boasting more than 40 varieties of apples and other fruits, including tart cherries and elderberries. Cherry season starts around July 20, followed by PYO apples, sweet corn, and watermelon in mid-August. Pumpkins and pears are ready for harvest in September. Cider donuts and cider slushies (incredibly refreshing!) are available all season.
“We keep the experience simple and fun,” says owner Greg Burtt. “The apples are easy to pick on our small trees, and with so many varieties to choose from, most folks go home with their favorite apples!” While you’re there, tap in to your inner teenager and give the apple slingshot a whirl. All products available in the farm store (fruits, veggies, maple syrup, honey, and grass-fed beef) are grown on the Burtts’ farm—well, maybe not all the donut ingredients….
