Adam's Berry Farm - Charlotte
Now in their 22nd year of business, Adam Hausmann and Jessica Sanford grow certified organic strawberries, blueberries, summer and fall raspberries, currants, and gooseberries on a beautiful farm conserved through the Vermont Land Trust and Farmland Access Program. Jessica says, “PYO is the soul of the farm; come enjoy the fruits of our labor!” The farm also offers PYO sunflowers and bouquets. Prepicked berries and flowers are available at the farm market, along with popsicles and sorbets made from the farm’s berries. Visitors can also purchase local meats, cheeses, jams, and pantry items.
“Our goal is to foster community by connecting people to farms and the food system. We encourage folks to spend time here and have fun around food.” Family-friendly events in the handsome barn include story hour, music for kids with Emma Cook, yoga for both kids and adults, and “art on the farm,” related to food, flowers, bugs, and insects. Adam’s Berry Farm is open from dawn to dusk from June through October.
