Founded by Eleanor and Albert Leger in 2007, Eden has become a leading U.S. producer of fine ciders and ice ciders. They are mission-driven—all the apples for their ciders come from a network of 11 small, local farms and their own Eden Orchard, and additionally they are leaders in the use of regenerative, sustainable growing practices. These are ciders produced like wine, pressed at harvest when the fruit is at peak ripeness, fermented slowly, and aged before bottling to allow for the character of the fruit to develop and shine. All their ciders are “low intervention” and contain only fruit—never added sugars, colors, or industrial flavorings. From small beginnings in the basement of their West Charleston, Vermont farmhouse, their reputation for excellence has grown and the ciders are now distributed to 18 states, Washington, DC, and the United Kingdom.
No matter which kind of wine, beer, or cider you like to drink, Eden has a cider style you will enjoy, from natural, dry pét-nats to elegant still ciders, French-style keeved ciders, crushable canned ciders, and sweet ice ciders. Across all these styles, one thing you will always find is beautiful, expressive apple character. Find Eden’s ciders at leading retailers and restaurants around Vermont or visit their tasting room and cidery in downtown Newport.

Stowe Cider is excited to celebrate their ninth year in business with the opening of their newly renovated, family-friendly taproom on Mountain Road in Stowe. Owner and head cidermaker Mark Ray is continuing to push the boundaries of craft cider with unique and authentic creations such as “Cider Donut,” a collaboration with local donut maker, North Country Donuts. While experimental ciders have put Stowe Cider on the “must-visit” list next to Ben & Jerry’s and Cold Hollow, they continue to maintain a strong connection to Vermont agriculture with projects such as their Vermont Grown and Solstice Series, which feature some of the best fruit Vermont has to offer. In addition to creating Vermont’s finest dry and experimental ciders, they also boast a high-quality selection of local craft beer, specialty cocktails, and a rotating food menu hot off the smoker or grill.
