Maple Sugar Old-Fashioned
Try this contemporary and unexpected twist on an old standby, enhanced with a maple element sure to make the repeat list!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1 orange slice, plus 1 for garnish
- 1 dark pitted cherry (frozen works great)
- 2 dashes bitters
- 1 teaspoon Dorset Maple Reserve maple sugar
Instructions
- In a rocks glass, muddle orange slice, cherry, bitters, and maple sugar. Add ice, a small splash of water, the liquor of choice and stir gently with a spoon until sugar is dissolved. Garnish with an orange slice.
